Milk production in the Moscow region of Russia increased by more than 3%

Companies and farms of the Moscow region are working with high efficiency in the line of milk production, for the first half of this year, milk production in the region amounted to 350 thousand tons and exceeded the result of the same period last year by more than 3%, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food region.

 

“This trend continues - the gross milk production in the agricultural organizations of the region last week amounted to 12.1 thousand tons, which is 400 kilograms more than in this period last year. The milk yield per cow is almost 1 kg more than last year,” said Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region.  For the week since September 5, gross milk production in the region amounted to 12.1 thousand tons, which was 300 kg more than in the same period in 2021. The agricultural producers of the Moscow region are faced with the task of surpassing the result of last year, during which 665.8 thousand tons of milk were produced. Then, according to the Center for the Study of the Dairy Market, dairy producers near Moscow entered the top 100 in Russia. 1663651074
