On Monday, the board of ZuivelNL expressed its great concern in a meeting with Minister of Agriculture Piet Adema about the cabinet's plans that affect the dairy and dairy sector. According to chairman Arjan Schimmel, the plans have 'a drastic impact on available land, income effects for dairy farmers and critical mass of dairy farming'. He also sees major consequences for the processing companies.

The Dutch Dairymen Board, LTO Netherlands, the Dutch Dairy Farmers Union and the Dutch Dairy Organization are represented in ZuivelNL. The Dutch Agricultural Youth Contact is a candidate member. According to ZuivelNL, the plans contained in the four cabinet letters that were sent to the House of Representatives at the end of November have an enormously negative impact on Dutch dairy farming.

At the end of November, the ZuivelNL board was introduced digitally to Adema as the new minister of agriculture. In Monday's conversation, Adema indicated, according to ZuivelNL, that he emphatically wants to listen to the concerns and ideas of the dairy sector. He expressed the hope that all dairy parties will provide input for the Agricultural Agreement that the minister is striving for.
