Rio Grande do Sul
The wheat harvest in Rio Grande do Sul ended this week. The last areas were harvested in the regions of Campanha, Sul and Campos de Cima da Serra. The results obtained ranged from unsatisfactory – in some crops, due to the recurrence of rain during the grain filling and harvesting phases, causing a reduction in the weight of the grains and germination in the spikelets – to expressive, as in the northeast quadrant of the state, where the productive potential was preserved throughout the cycle.
After the end of the harvest, the productivity estimated by Emater/RS-Ascar was reassessed to 2,839 kg/ha, 8.41% lower than the initial projection, which was 3,116 kg/ha.

The wheat harvest reaches 63.9% of the area in Argentina. According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, work has advanced 15.8 percentage points compared to last week.
The production projection remains at 18.6 million tons. In absolute numbers, 10.587 million tons were harvested across 3.944 million hectares.
